The “Government Institute of Hotel Management , Dehradun, is the oldest institute of State of Uttarakhand. It was started in the year 1983 when the state of Uttarakhand was not carved and was the State Uttar Pradesh only. The institute is accredited by AICTE and affiliated to Uttarakhand Technical University.
Located in the foothills of Queen of Hills’ Mussorie Government Institute of Hotel Management offers a 4 year Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management, Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition . The course curriculum designed allows the students to get familiar with the various subjects in all years & gives a practical exposure.
The students seeking admission should be ready to give complete dedication and face the challenges of the growing Hotel and Tourism industry.
The students are made to visit to the hotels of repute during their course to have an experience and understand the industry better.
Apart from education, event based and other extracurricular activities are held at GIHM, preparing every student to be confident and become a responsible citizen in the society.
